Ramble

22 Feb '81

The plan was to meet at 9:00am at the hut ready for a nice easy Sunday ramble. The problem was the snow and, when the leaders arrived, some had to begin the walk up the hill. The road was littered with cars which were stuck in the snow, so some of the Scouts pushed them out.

We climbed by 12:30 and stopped for lunch. The weather had been very unpleasant for the time of year and the day became a mixture of chaos, snow, windmill hill, red castle and rather cold Scouts. The rest of the writing is heavily obscured by ink marks.
