Christmas Camp 1984

We set off for the golf house at Patshull from the Scout hut. Vince and Glyn had already set off on bikes and we passed them when we were nearly there. We ran upstairs and got our beds, then watched War Games, which was ace. Supper was hot dogs. Later we saw a comedy film and went to bed.

On Saturday we chopped trees and bushes to make our campsite. After dinner we went for a walk with a purpose. We had to get to a farm and back without being caught by the stone group, and we had to catch the PLs, but did not. The green group returned first and won. Before tea we put firewood in the shed, then had tea. After changing into fancy dress we had a fancy dress party with games and prizes, watched Creepshow, had crisps, lemonade and sausage rolls, and went to bed.

On Sunday we had breakfast, showed off our thriller videos, went outside again to do the composite, then had Christmas dinner cooked by the leaders with friends from nearby. The page continues on the next image.
