Christmas Camp 1984 continued. We watched Superman 3. After Superman 3 we packed our rucksacks and bags ready for our safe journey home and a very enjoyable holiday. By Philip Shackleton.
Easter Camp at Blackwell Scout Hut. Friday 5th till 9th April. We arrived at the Scout hut at 2 o'clock and set off. There were seven of us. When we got to Blackwell Court we put the tents up. Halfway through putting them up it started to rain. It was only a shower. When the tents were up we moved all our stuff into them. When the food arrived John and Bosun started to cook our tea. After tea we went and found where the shop was.
At half past nine we played a wide game. One team had to hide a candle in a waterproof place and another team had to do the same. Then the two teams had to find the other team's candle. They found ours easily. We had a little difficulty in finding theirs, but we did.
After supper we went to bed. In the morning we got up and had breakfast. Simon Round started to cry; he was home sick. After breakfast two teams had tripods and put some logs in between them. We had to fight other people. I fought Simon Round and won. After lunch it started to rain, so John and Bosun took us all to the Science Museum for the afternoon. When we got back to camp John and Bosun cooked our tea while we played football. After tea we played messy games. When it got dark we went into the white tent for supper. After supper we went to bed. In the morning we had breakfast and went into the dry shelter. We played basketball.
