We all woke up at 8:00am to the bell and had a wash, then went down to the dining hall for breakfast of cereals, bacon and beans, and toast. After breakfast Group B did the washing up while Group A packed the lunches. In the games room we were split into groups and told the activities for the day, which consisted of climbing mountains.
We put our cold anoraks and gaiters in our rucksacks, met the instructors by the yellow minibus and drove to Blaenau Ffestiniog. From there we climbed up a frozen stream, which was the hardest part. We made our way to the dam and had lunch of Cornish pasty, crisps, apple, chocolate biscuit and coffee. On the rest of the hike nothing special happened except that a mobile snowball dropped on my head.
When we got to the minibus we went back to the Towers and had a cup of tea. We played table tennis and darts until 5:30pm, then had tea of lamb, potatoes, mixed veg, mint sauce, apple crumble and custard. After duties we played games in the games room. At the end the scores were joint last and Anthony's team first. At 12:00pm we went to bed.
On Sunday morning we woke at 8:00am, went to the hall and had breakfast of cereals, gipsy toast, bacon and sausage, toast and drink. After breakfast we were told about the hike. We had to climb up a mountain and eat our dinner there, which was corned beef sandwich, cheese cob, peanuts, apple and coffee.
