The Patrol System
Two things which make Scout movement unique
1) Scout law and promise
2) The Patrol System.
A Troop is a collection of Patrols. The patrol is the whole basis of Scouting.
Workable number for patrol is 6.
Choice of P.L. - usually 2nd but not always so. Try and keep same boys in Patrol - avoid switching around.
A P.L. is a leader under training. He will make mistakes.
