Ulstron - Cheaper than Terylene - floats.

Most ropes laid RIGHT HAND looking along rope strands twist away clockwise.

Three Strand rope. Better geom. Cross section.

Four Strand. Small strand in centre.

Sizes. Ropes measured in circumference. Sold by weight.

Reef Knot. Original use - tying reef points in sails. Thief Knot - reversed.

Sheet Bend or Common Bend. Can also be used for tying ropes of equal thickness.
