Breanventure Camp

First we unloaded the equipment while the patrol leaders picked a place to camp. We set up camp and then someone asked whether we could have camp in the wrong place. No. 1 called the troop in and said we had set up in the wrong place. We knocked out the pegs, carried everything up the road and pitched again. No. 1 then split us into groups and we collected leaves, flowers and insects, helped Bosun with rope work, took photographs, developed them, cooked fish, made leaf things, and did abseiling. We also played a wide game after dinner.

The wide game was the best because there was a very big area to play in. You had to get around the hill without the PLs catching you. The campfire was great; we played, sang songs and did magic tricks. After campfire I pulled a handkerchief from my arm. By Winney McIntosh.
