17.25 Continuing on our journey we noted that the ground on both banks gradually began to rise and on the L.H. bank we passed a number of orchards of mixed fruit trees. Willow trees grew in abundance at the water's edge and we noted evidence of the recent flooding in that flotsam was caught up in their lower branches.
