Try and have boats which are suitable for both pulling and sailing.
Getting afloat.
1) Must swim 50 yds in shirt shorts and socks.
2) If this is not possible a boy can boat on 'C' Class waters providing he is wearing a life jacket.
3) Boat must have a Boatworthy Certificate. This can be obtained from Sea Scout Committee and Boating Committee.
Three types of water.
"A" Open water (Sea)
"B" Large dangerous lakes and estuaries
"C" Safe inland lakes, canals, rivers.
