What if the target number was:

1.1818181818

Computer Teacher, do your students have access to computers?
Do you have "Laptops in Lessons"?

Whether your students each have a TabletPC or share a desktop PC, this activity lends itself to eLearning (Engaged Learning).

Laptop

A spreadsheet could be used to quickly find a solution to this kind of problem.

 An algebraic solution might look like this:

Let the target number be x

                            x = 1.818181.... Equation 1

Therefore 100 x = 181.8181... Equation 2

Subtract equation 1 from equation 1

99x = 180

x = 180/99

x = 20/11
